If you read my post on Monday about why my husband’s birthday desert had a hole in it, you were probably drooling over the pictures.
Well, I don’t disappoint. Here is the recipe for my husband’s all-time favorite desert.
It may be full of calories, but it is super easy to make.
I’m serious, folks, you can’t mess this one up!
Here is what you need:
A Trifle Bowl (but you can use any bowl you wish)
A package of Lady Fingers
1 box of Cook & Serve vanilla pudding
1lb or 500 grams of Marscapone cheese
1/4 cup of strong coffee or espresso
2 Bananas sliced
1 small can of peaches sliced
1 1/2 pints of fresh strawberries sliced
Cook the pudding until thick and cool. Once well cooled, with a mixer blend in the marscapone cheese with the pudding and set aside.
In your trifle bowl, line the bottom with lady fingers so that you cover as much of the bottom of the bowl as you can. Don’t hesitate to break up the cookies. With a spoon, drizzle the coffee over the lady fingers until they are well covered.
Cover the top of the coffee-soaked cookies with banana. Next, spread 1/3 of the pudding mixture over the bananas and top with strawberry slices.
Over the strawberries, place another layer of lady fingers and drizzle them with coffee. Top the cookies with another layer of bananas and spread over another 1/3 of the pudding and top with peaches and strawberries.
Spread the remaining pudding over the top.
Top with whipped cream and a garnish before serving.
