What if I told you that there was a way that your whole family could work through a Bible study together.
Something that even included your preschoolers!
What I’m about to show you is a Bible study that is available for the whole family and includes:
- Old Testament
- New Testament
- Topic studies like the Birth of Jesus, Ruth, Esther, Joseph, the Resurrection, Jewish Feasts and Holidays
What are Grapevine Bible Studies?
Grapevine Studies is a Bible study method that involves listening or reading and drawing, and then at the each of lesson are questions about the lesson.
At the end of each workbook is a short quiz to see how well each family member retained the information.
A Bible study for the whole family
While Grapevine Studies typically range from preschool to 8th Grade, I have found that even as an adult I enjoy doing them with my children.
Doing Grapevine Studies with your children helps to mentor them in Bible study and devotions, and helps establish for them an understanding of how important daily devotion and Bible study is to our daily lives!
This is the Bible study I am doing with my kids right now:
How I use Grapevine Bible Studies with my kids
This Bible study is for ages 3 – 5 and as you can see they have traceable figures drawn in to help your child understand what he should draw for each part of the text for that lesson.
This same Bible study comes in a non-traceable pack for ages 5-7 and then a similar Bible study is available for 1st grade – 8th grade! With each level the questions get deeper and more complex, challenging the older children to really consider how God’s Word can apply to their lives as well as forcing them to dig deeper into Scripture, and not just scratch the surface.
Grapevine Studies also provides a daily reading plan for family devotions and homeschools, as well as a family license that allows you to purchase one book and print one copy for each family member.
They also provide a teacher’s manual that helps you, as a parent, understand how to lead them in a Grapevine Study and how to present each lesson.
What I love about Grapevine Studies as a Family Bible study
My children love Grapevine Studies because it gets them actively involved in our daily devotions. They can draw, color and get as creative as they’d like.
What I love about Grapevine Studies, as a mom, is it involves their creativity, which helps them to retain what they’ve heard better.
If you’d like to take your family devotions to the next level, try Grapevine Studies! Your kids will love them, you’ll enjoy doing them as a family as you dig into God’s Word!
