Aren’t these just fun!!
I whipped these up – in about 1/2 hour or so. They are so fun and easy. So, I thought I’d share the pattern with you.
MC: Worsted weight yarn – Red
SC: Puffy yarn (or worsted weight) – White
Needle size G
Ch 3 and join to form a circle
Row 1: In circle sc 6 times, join (6 sts)
Row 2: ch 1 turn, sc in each sc, join (6 sts)
Row 3 (increase): ch1 turn, 2 sc in each sc, join (12 sts)
Row 4-5: ch1 turn, sc in each sc, join (12 sts)
Row 6 (increase): ch1 turn, sc in first 3 sc, 2 sc in next st, *sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next st, repeat from * to end, join (15 sts)
Row 7: ch 1 and turn, sc in each sc around, finish off (15 sts)
Row 8: join second color with sl st, sc in same st and each st around, join (15 sts)
Row 9: ch 1 and turn, sc in each sc around, finish off. (15 sts)
Tuck in all ends and attach a hook to the top of the hat
Put a fun hook at the top and hang on the tree.
