This is a super-easy craft that your kids can make with very little help from mom.
I love the idea of a Thankful Tree because it helps teach kids the quality of being thankful; something we should actually practice all year long.
For this craft you need:
A plastic bottle
3-4 Paper bags
Take one paper bag and cut it open until it lays flat. Lay the bottle down on the paper bag and wrap the entire bottle, leaving room a the the top for a “branch”.
Try to make this branch not too long. You’ll need to reinforce it by stapling a second branch over it to make it nice and thick.
Take your remaining bags, open them up until they’re flat, then cut them into strips and make branches out of the strips.
Fold them in half and staple them to the main branch to make additional branches
Using a template (which you can find many places online for free), cut leaves out of colored paper. Each day have your child write down on thing they are thankful for (or mommy can help) and staple the leaf to a branch.
