We all know the Lord’s Prayer.
Most of us can quote it from memory. Some of you may pray it every day as a part of your daily prayer time. But have you ever considered that Jesus didn’t give us this prayer to pray, but rather as a model for how we should pray?
It really isn’t “The Lord’s” prayer, it is really a prayer formula Jesus gave to us, to teach us to pray.
And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Give us day by day our daily bread.
For many years I have used the Lord’s prayer as a formula for my own personal prayer life. And starting March 28th, I will be leading a short 10-day Bible study on how to pray through the Lord’s Prayer!
In fact, I have made a journal for how to pray through the Lord’s Prayer each and every day as a way to enrich your prayer life. It is a 70-page journal that you can use over and over again to track your prayer needs and more.
By joining the study, you will receive a coupon code for a deep discount on this journal! Marked down from the usual price of $5.99, all those involved in the study will receive a coupon code to purchase the prayer journal for only $1.99!! I hope you’ll join us!! You can us here in this Facebook Group as we learn how to pray the way Jesus taught us to pray.
Prayer is such an important weapon in our arsenal! Here are some more articles I’ve written about prayer:
