Have you ever noticed a disconnect between the 1 1/2-hour event Sunday morning and the lifestyles of many Christians’ lives Monday-Friday?
Yea, me too!
Have you ever asked yourself, “How can people raise their hands and worship on Sunday and yet live like the world all week long?”
Not long ago, I began to ask myself the hard question: What does it mean to live a life of worship? How do you take worship out of the context of a mere song service or style of music and make it into a lifestyle we live 24/7?
I am a musician and former worship leader. Having been involved in worship leading, in one aspect or another, for more than 20 years, I began noticing a strong disconnect between Sunday worship and people’s lives during the week.
To be honest, my own life didn’t always match up very well to what I sang on Sunday.
What’s more, I began to grow concerned the the word worship described more of that 1/2-hour Sunday event and less of the condition of our own heart.
Live Worship approaches the topic of worship from a non-musical perspective and puts it into everyday life – a decision that we must make to worship God every second of every minute of every hour of every day.
Worship goes much further than music – it is a lifestyle that we must live if we want to please God!
In Live Worship I explore the topics of obedience, God’s jealousy, and what it means to love God with all of our heart, soul and mind.
