I can’t believe it is time to break out the Christmas albums already!
I love Christmas music and would listen to Christmas music all year long, but I like to keep it special, so I make myself wait until December 1st.
Here are my top 5 must-have Christmas Albums
The Time-Life Treasury of Christmas
With voices such as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como, and The Andrews Sisters, you are transported to a Currier and Ives time when Christmas was simple.
This is hands-down my favorite Christmas album!
Amy Grant – Tennessee Christmas
There is something about Amy Grant’s voice singing Christmas classics. She keeps it simple and let’s the song sing without a lot of fluff and embellishment. She just does Christmas in a classy way: whether it’s the classics or newer Christmas songs.
Michael Bublé – Christmas
Okay – I’ll admit, I am usually late to the party. But this year I can guarantee you that this album will not only make it to my playlist, but it will earn a permanent spot there. His voice is so classic. I can almost see Frank Sinatra smiling a smile of approval.
Point of Grace – A Christmas Story
For years now this album has had a prominent place on my playlist. Whether they ring out the traditional carols, do Andrews Sisters impersonations on the fun, joyful classics, or sing a new carol that is sure to become a classic…they just do the whole album well!
Sandi Patty – Christmas Blessings
I have long been a Sandi Patty fan. Her voice is exquisite, and this album filled with traditional classics and carols is dreamy! I love her version of Irving Berlin’s “Count Your Blessings”, from the classic movie White Christmas.
And I have included some of these and more in this YouTube playlist…and I’m sure during this season I’ll add more!
This is one of my favorite Thanksgiving posts! Wow! I absolutely love the simplicity and creativity of this Thankful Polaroid Photo Galary by Chele from Inside the Fox Den. You can do this any time of year and it would be appropriate. Plus, I love the Polaroid look! Classic, vintage, and so, so, sweet!! (Plus, you can download the Thankful Banner for free! Amazing!)
