As it turns out, 2024 became the start of an unexpected journey.
I woke up one morning, started down the stairs, thinking ahead to what was on my checklist for the day.
That familiar sinking feeling sank deep in my stomach.
I hadn’t even hit the bottom step yet, and was already dreading my day.
Couldn’t I have at least had one cup of coffee first? Sheesh!
The sinking feeling began with this:
✅Schedule Facebook Page
✅Schedule Instagram
This blogging gig would be so great if I didn’t have to do social media.
Then the thought came, “Couuuuuuuld I blog without having to do social media????”
A churning excitement replaced the sinking feeling, and I ran downstairs, started my coffee, and began researching.
By the end of the day, I had recorded a YouTube video and alerted my followers that I was shutting down my fan pages.
Since then, I’ve pulled away from my personal pages as well….and in 2026, I am working at replacing most of my favorite “bubblegum” podcasts with more reading and audiobooks.
I love reading.
I’m usually reading 2-3 books at a time, but since I began bingeing podcasts, my reading has fallen by the wayside.
I’m wanting to get back to more books in 2026 - and I think you’ll see a theme.
