There was a season when it felt like life just would not let up.
One hard thing after another kept happening.
Loss.
Health struggles.
Stress that never seemed to fully leave.
The kind of emotional exhaustion that settles deep into your thoughts and quietly affects everything.
I remember reaching a point where I felt mentally and emotionally overwhelmed by it all.
And what made it harder was realizing how quickly external chaos was becoming internal chaos.
Fear started shaping my thoughts.
Stress started controlling my reactions.
Peace started feeling distant.
For a while, I thought peace would finally come once circumstances changed.
But God kept bringing me back to the same truth:
Biblical peace does not come from perfect circumstances. It comes from the presence of God anchoring us from the inside out.
That realization started changing the way I walked through difficult seasons.
Life didn’t suddenly become easy, I just stopped looking to temporary escapes to steady me.
Distraction never brought peace.
Busyness never brought peace.
Trying to mentally outrun anxiety never brought peace either.
Real peace began growing when I started returning to God consistently in the middle of the storm instead of waiting for the storm to end first.
And one of the biggest battles was happening in my thoughts.
The more fear shaped my thinking, the more unstable I became emotionally.
That’s why learning to replace fearful thoughts with Scripture became so important during that season.
It became a way of anchoring myself in what was true when emotions felt overwhelming.
I shared more about what biblical peace actually looks like during difficult seasons — along with the verses that helped steady me — here:
