This week has been such an encouragement.
Over the past five days, we’ve opened God’s Word together and discovered that our identity isn’t something we have to earn or create. It has already been established through Jesus Christ.
We’ve seen that we are:
Friends of Jesus
Bought with a price
Children of God
Alive to God in Christ
Chosen, holy, and His own special people
The more we renew our minds with these truths, the less power the lies of our past have over us. Identity isn’t about becoming someone God will finally accept. It’s about believing who He says we already are because of Christ.
If you’ve been following along this week, I hope you’ve already begun to see yourself through the lens of God’s Word rather than through your past, your failures, or your feelings.
