There are some updates you pray about for years, but never quite know if they will become reality.
This is one of those updates.
If you had told me even a few months ago that I would be writing these words today, I probably would have laughed.
But God has a way of working behind the scenes while we are busy waiting.
For the past 30 years, my husband, Zlatko, has worked at Dukat Dairy as a quality-control shift leader. Through those years, God faithfully used that job to provide for our family, and we will always be grateful for His provision.
Yet for quite some time, both of us have sensed that God was preparing something more.
Not because there was anything wrong with his job.
Not because we were dissatisfied.
But because there was a growing awareness that many of the gifts God had placed within him were sitting on a shelf, waiting for their purpose.
Zlatko is incredibly creative. He has a gift for music, design, problem-solving, and seeing possibilities where others see limitations. He has spent years faithfully serving our family through work, but increasingly, there has been a sense that God was calling him into something different.
Something that would allow him to use those gifts more fully for the Kingdom.
And now, after much prayer, we believe God is opening that door.
A New Ministry Journey
Over the past several months, Zlatko has begun training with me in digital ministry work.
Many of you know that a large part of my ministry involves helping Christian ministries and content creators through digital marketing, social media management, email marketing, editing, website management, and content creation.
Little by little, Zlatko has been stepping into that work alongside me.
Our goal is that, in God’s timing and through His provision, Zlatko will eventually transition from his current position into full-time ministry.
Even writing those words feels surreal.
This won’t happen overnight. We want to move carefully, prayerfully, and wisely. But for the first time, we can clearly see the path God is laying before us.
And we are incredibly excited to see what He does next.
When God Makes Us Wait
If you’ve ever waited on God for an answer, a breakthrough, or a change in direction, you know how difficult waiting can be.
There were many moments when we wondered if this dream would ever become reality.
Looking back now, I can see that God was working during every season of waiting.
