There was a season when anxiety felt louder than truth.
It showed up in overthinking.
In fear of the future.
In constantly replaying situations in my mind.
In the question of “what if”.
In the exhaustion that comes from carrying stress internally for too long.
And the hardest part was how quickly anxiety started shaping my thinking without me even realizing it.
Fear would settle into my thoughts first, then it would affect my emotions, and eventually it would start affecting how I responded to everyday life.
I knew Scripture.
I loved God.
But in those moments, my thoughts still spiraled faster than my faith felt steady.
That’s when I started realizing something important.
Anxiety is not just emotional.
There is a real battle happening in the mind.
And I could not keep fighting that battle empty-handed.
So I started surrounding myself with Scripture intentionally.
Not just reading verses occasionally.
Not just highlighting them in my Bible.
I began placing them where I would see them during anxious moments.
On my wall.
In my journal.
Near my desk.
Verses that reminded me:
God is still in control
God is present
God is faithful
Fear does not have the final word
And over time, with careful intention and a disciplined method, those verses began interrupting thought patterns that had controlled me for years.
There’s something powerful about returning your mind to truth before fear has the chance to fully take over.
That’s what led me to create these printable Bible verse cards for anxiety and spiritual warfare.
I shared them here as a free download if you want to use them the same way I did:
