You're so very right! A strong-looking faith isn’t necessarily a deeply rooted faith. Beautiful blog, sweet sister!! Very encouraging read this morning ... 🙏💕

This line made me smile - A strong-looking faith isn’t necessarily a deeply rooted faith

One time when I was very involved in church and leading the women's ministry, I did a complete turn around and walked away. Situations in my life were overwhelming and I started looking to the world for answers. Everything, at that time, was shaky.

I was in a similar situation, too, while in Bible school. Looking back on that time, wow - I was so unstable. When we sing that Christ is our firm foundation - that is so true. <3

“It’s possible to know Christian language, attend church, read the Bible, serve, and participate in ministry without developing deep roots in Christ.” This I think has been me my ENTIRE life!🫪

But it's never too late to let those roots grow deep. 🌱

I know the Bible but I have not a clue as to why or how for it to make its way from my mind to my heart….does that make any sense??😢

It does. And that is a common question. The best way is to find a verse or passage that relates to a situation you are facing, and you meditate on it.

Write it down.

Circle the keywords

Look at deeper definitions of the words

Rewrite it out, putting your name in the verse so it speaks to you

And as you go to sleep, think on it and it’s meaning.

Soon, it will get into your heart. Do this verse by verse. And there’s no need to rush it. There is no race, here, to the finish line.

The point of the Word is that it gets into us and changes us from the inside out. No matter how long that takes. <3
