Have you ever felt like God gave you a promise... and then everything in your life seemed to move in the opposite direction?
You prayed.
You trusted.
You waited.
And instead of seeing doors open, you found yourself facing disappointment, delays, and unanswered questions.
If you’ve been there, you’re not alone.
Throughout Scripture, we see men and women who received incredible promises from God—but almost every one of them experienced a season of waiting.
Abraham waited decades for the promised son.
Joseph received dreams from God before he was sold into slavery.
David was anointed king years before he ever wore the crown.
Their stories remind us of something we often forget:
God’s promises are rarely fulfilled on our timetable.
The waiting isn’t evidence that God has forgotten us. More often, it’s where He is shaping our character, deepening our faith, and teaching us to trust Him more completely.
Waiting has a way of exposing where our confidence truly rests.
Is our hope in the promise itself?
Or is our hope in the God who made the promise?
When we learn to trust God’s heart even when we cannot trace His hand, our faith begins to mature. We discover that His presence is just as valuable as the answers we’ve been praying for.
One of the greatest temptations during seasons of waiting is to become discouraged. We begin comparing our lives to others, wondering if we’ve somehow missed God’s will or if He has forgotten us altogether.
But Scripture tells a different story.
God is faithful.
He finishes what He begins.
And His timing is always perfect—even when it doesn’t feel that way.
If you’re waiting today, don’t lose heart.
Continue praying.
Continue trusting.
Continue spending time in God’s Word.
Every day you choose faith over fear is another step of spiritual growth. The waiting may not be easy, but God never wastes it.

My prayer is that wherever you are in your journey, you’ll remember this truth:
God is just as faithful in the waiting as He is in the fulfillment of His promises.
